Long post.
Ever since we heard about PD13 (google it!), we've wanted to go. Unfortunately the last two Friday the 13ths were either the wrong season or we weren't free to go. August 13th is a Friday!!! We're going to go to Port Dover for PD13 and are looking for folks to ride up with us!
We've heard lots of interesting stories about it and at Inzane talked with Big D about it. His suggestion was to go with someone that's been there before so that we make sure we experience the good and not the bad.
We've made arrangements to meet with Chrome (Adrian--Canada's national rep) in London, Ontario and ride in with his chapter and a few other folks. We're planning on leaving Thursday, the 12th and meeting up with Chrome early on the 13th for the 45 minute ride to Port Dover. He will be sending us lodging information in the near future. There has also been mentioned (if we get there by dinnertime) gathering for dinner that evening!
Our meeting place(s) and time of leaving is still up in the air so that we can accommodate anyone that would like to ride with us.
We will leave Thursday, spend the night and then experience PD13 on Friday and then ride home Friday afternoon and be home before dark. Stitch's poker run is the next day and we need to be ready to head to Grand Rapids Saturday morning!
If you would rather leave Friday morning, Chrome plans on leaving London around 9:00 so you'd have to leave the metro area between 5:30 and 6:00. We'd just rather leave Thursday.
If you'd like to go, please, let us know! But, remember, you will need either a passport or an enhanced driver's license to get either in Canada or back into the U.S.

i guess that will srink Stitch's aug 14th poker run ride! make syre you have your passport to get back in the us

mike~~we'll be at the poker run. we'll check in by noon on saturday----hence, we're riding back from port dover on friday (4 hour ride) so that we can be in grand rapids on saturday.
thursday--ride to london
friday--ride from london to port dover (45 min. ride), experience pd13 and then ride home.
saturday--ride to grand rapids and do the poker run, spend the night
sunday--ride home from grand rapids.
we, originally, were going to go to stratford's shakespeare festival after pd13 til we realized that that was the poker run weekend, so, we'll have to get our 'culture' another day!
i guess you'll see us that weekend one way or another!!

Hi Folks Went looking for hotels today for anyone wanting to ride to London Ont Thursday a ride early to Dover Friday morning with us. we booked and prepaid for our room (20% discount to prepay) and paid $71.42 canadian for our room!
looking forward to the ride up, the group ride, pd13 and the commaradarie!
as of now, there will be two bikes and four riders joining your group!

just a reminder, if you're thinking of going to pd13, we're going up thursday so that we'll be able to be at adrian's (chrome's) bbq that evening around 6:00.
the next morning, we're leaving london at around 9:00 and will be having lunch at 11:30 at Erie Beach House with his chapter or group that's riding with him!
if you wanna go, let us know so that we can look for you either thursday evening or friday morning! i think it will be too crowded to find you once we hit port dover!
